The construction of the 156 Street/ Yellowhead Trail major interchange improvement involved two new bridge structures to separate vehicle and rail traffic. The CN Rail/ 156 Street structure is a single span bridge with flared geometry resulting in span lengths varying from 36m to 43m. It consists of steel girders with a composite steel deck. The Yellowhead Trail/ 156 Street structure is a two span (33.5m-30m) continuous steel girder bridge with composite concrete deck.
For this project the firm provided preliminary and detailed design, full-time resident inspection and contact administration during construction.
