The Project: Design and Construction of a new steel plate girder bridge (51.0-67.0-67.0-51.0 spans) over the North Saskatchewan River on a new alignment of Highway 22, near Drayton Valley, Alberta. Construction of approximately 11.0 km of Highway 22 on a new alignment, and associated intersections, service roads and accesses, on a new alignment. Demolition of the existing deck truss structure and highway.
Client: Alberta Transportation
Role and Services: Prime Consultant – Preliminary engineering, detailed design, tender document preparation, full time resident engineering and contract administration during construction.
Dates: Design commenced June 2007. Construction scheduled for completion in May 2014.
