Mike is a Principal and Senior Buildings Engineer in the firm. He has been practicing structural engineering for over sixteen years and has been involved in the construction industry for over twenty. His experience in structural engineering encompasses many different types of construction and many different sectors. He has design and construction experience in steel, stainless steel, wood, concrete and masonry in projects ranging from small to large scale in the institutional, commercial, residential, and industrial sectors.
Starting with BPTEC Engineering in 2004, Mike has had the opportunity to be involved in signature projects such as the Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute and the Edmonton New Remand Centre, the firm’s largest project to date, with a contract value of $568 million. More recently, Mike has acted as the principal for another signature project, the AGLC New Warehouse in St. Albert, a 543,000 sqft liquor distribution facility.
Mike is also experienced in the structural condition assessment of existing structures.
