The new Boreal Centre for Bird Conservation provides 6000 square feet of space for indoor and outdoor exhibits, interpretive programs, a gift shop, offices, and research space.
The building aspires to be LEED-Silver certified and makes use of “green” building practices such as reduced water usage and using heat pumps and a geothermal field for heating and cooling.
For this project the role of BPTEC-DNW was to take over the project after completion of the design development phase, including producing contract documents and providing construction phase services.
