Location: Edmonton, Alberta
The Dudley Menzies Bridge, which carries twin LRT tracks over the North Saskatchewan River, was the first segmental box girder bridge in Western Canada. The bridge uses a 600m long glued segmental precast superstructure with a pedestrian walkway suspended below.
The firm provided hydrotechnical assessment, preliminary and detailed design drawings, full-time resident inspection and contract administration. A detailed design for a steel alternate was also prepared.
